I recently stumbled across a series of videos known as “Sexy Beijing”. They’re produced by a company called goldmines film, which also makes other china-based short films. Here is an Episode of “Sexy Beijing” to wet your appetite:

As part of my Travel Guide series of articles, here is the first part of part one - introduction, why travel?
Introduction
Okay, so you’re reading this. I’m going to assume you have at least some vague interest in travel, reading about travel, or seeing the world. But what makes us interested in these things? What makes is want to see the world? To experience different cultures and meet new exciting people? The answer is different for all of us, but for me, it’s because it’s fun. It’s fun, it’s exciting, it’s interesting, it’s an experience. It’s not about the bragging rights of saying “Oh, I’ve been to x many countries”, it’s about the experience itself. The people you meet, the things you experience and see, are all what makes traveling worth while. Whilst sometimes those experiences and people can make traveling a boring old holiday, or an uneventful two weeks on the beach, they can also make it an adventure. Something that you’ll never forget and you’ll be telling your grandkids all about it when you’re 60 (in between spending your retirement to go and travel the world some more).
More after the break…

I know, I know. This IS old news to EVERYONE. But i wanted to post it here to remind myself that i have to go and buy it the very second it comes out. Who could possibly not be excited about this game? Not me, that’s for sure. It’s looking awesome, and something tells me it will be awesome.
Okay, so this might be old news to everyone, but Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard is out. It came out late October ‘07 and up until today i was too lazy to install it. I got my MacBook Pro 15″ just a few months ago, and it shipped with Tiger (Mac OS X 10.4) but now I’ve finally bitten the bullet and taken the step from 10.4 to 10.5.
I’m not sure exactly what everyone else thought when they installed leopard. I’m sure lots of apple die-hards would have nearly creamed themselves when they popped the DVD in. I, on the other hand, was a little under-whelmed.
I mean, it’s a worthy upgrade, sure. But. It’s not amazing.
It’s not mind blowing, and it doesn’t give any huge advantage as far as productivity or enjoyment goes. I must say “Spaces” is an excellent feature which I’ve already used a lot in the bit-over-24-hours I’ve had leopard.
