Even though this site has been around since late 2003, and even though She’s finished both (!) of her RTW Trips, I’m still recommending this site as an excellent read, and an excellent source of information. Follow her on her first trip through Japan, China and the rest of Asia, and then follow her on her trip through parts of Asia and Africa. She has some lovely photographs as well (thanks to her quality D-SLR Cameras and some good camera-woman-ship) for you to peruse.

I’ve been thinking a little bit (a lot) and looking at maps and stuff, and I’ve been playing around with different Ideas for routes…So i want to write down my idea[s] to keep them somewhere where i can look at them and criticize them, etc. So here’s my first Route idea:
Australia —> Indonesia –> Malaysia –> Brunei –> Philippines –> Singapore –> Malaysia –> Thailand –> Laos –> Cambodia –> Vietnam –> China –> Hong Kong –> Taiwan –> Japan –> S. Korea –> –> China –> Kyrgystan –> Kazakhstan –> Uzbekistan –> Tajikistan –> China –> Myanmar –> Tibet –> Nepal –> Bhutan –> Bangladesh –> India –> Pakistan –> Afghanistan –> Iran –> Turkey –> Greece –> Albania –> Macedonia –> Bulgaria –> Romania –> Romania –> Belgrade –> Montenegro –> Bosnia –> Croatia –> Italy –> Switzerland –> Liechtenstein –> Austria –> Slovenia –> Hungary –> Slovakia –> Poland –> Czech Republic –> Germany –> Denmark –> Netherlands –> Belgium –> Luxembourg –> France –> Monaco –> Andorra –> Spain –> Portugal –> Gibraltar –> Spain –> France –> United Kingdom
The first project as part of my “Fund A RTW Trip” project is now entering the Beta stage. This is a closed beta (meaning i wont give a link here - yet) but I have high hopes for it. I’ve started recruiting my first 50 beta testers, and after that I’ll go to Beta 2 - which will have up to 500-2000 beta testers. After this final Beta stage, I’ll open the website to the public!
The interesting thing about this website, though, is that it allows each and every member to make money. Not enough to live off or anything, but more than nothing. And the more active and popular the website gets, the more people can make - and therefor the more incentive to advertise the site. Now i know you’re probably skeptical, and you probably think it’s a scam. Well, it’s not. I can’t prove that until it goes public, but just you wait and see.
That’s my new goal. To make enough profit from my blog, websites, and future blogs/websites, to fund my RTW (Round The World) Trip. As a rough estimate, that means i need to raise approximately $25,000-$30,000 over the next two years. I’ll document all my money-making ventures here on this blog, aswell as listing monthly incomes, etc (expect these to be pretty small to start off with…haha).
So if anyone has any idea[s] for a website, or blog, etc. then please reply in the comments and I’ll see what i cant do!
I recently stumbled across this website, with includes links to what I’ve decided are the best world maps available for free online. The political map, in particular is useful for things such as (example) printing to plot your itinerary, putting on your wall, or using on your own travel blog/site.
This is a fun game/time-waster from JustSayHi

I’ve recently stumbled across this video by a group called Anonymous who intend to protest worldwide against the Church Of Scientology. I think this is a brilliant idea. The Church Of Scientology should not exist. If you are able to, I implore you all to protest outside your nearest Church Of Scientology (CoS) building. For example, the building in Sydney, Australia is at:
201 Castlereagh St. Sydney
According to their website. So get out there, and make a difference! Down with Scientology!
GoBackpacking is the blog of a young American by the name of Dave. He’s blogging about his RTW trip and is currently in Australia. I’ve been reading his blog for the last few weeks, and it’s very interesting. He also goes into detail on some other things like his budgeting and packing list. I guess, more than anything, this blog and others like it, should help inspire me, you and everyone else to travel and get out there.. Right now just reading all these travel blogs of other people, it just makes me more convinced, and more determined to get out into the world as soon as school is over!
For those that don’t know (likely most of you), The Rocket Summer is a rock/power-pop “band” comprised solely of Bryce Avary who performs and records every instrument as well as vocals. When touring, Seth Brewton (guitar), Matt Bergeland (Bass) and Tommy Quinn (Drums) perform live along with Avary.
His third record Do You Feel was released under Island Def Jam Records on July 17th, 2007. I have to say this effort is absolutely amazing, with every song having a hook, a catchy tune or amazing little riff that just makes you want to get up, dance and sing along.
My Favorite Track is “Hold It Up” and i give this album 9/10
