To better organize my “Ten Thousand Things” list, I’m going to split it into continents, so here’s the first continent - Asia. With intense variety, ranging from oriental shrines in Japan, to the Reclining Buddha in Thailand, to the grand Mosques of the middle east. I want to see it all.

Non Country-Specifc

  1. Take the Trans-Siberian/Trans-Mongolian railway.
  2. Complete a Trek.
  3. See Mt Everest.

China

  1. See the Great Wall of China.
  2. See the Terra Cotta Warriors.
  3. Spend (at least) four days in Hong Kong.
  4. Sail up (and/or down) the Yangtze River.
  5. Experience Chinese New Year in China (Beijing?).
  6. See the Forbidden City, Beijing.
  7. See Tai Shan, Ti’ian.
  8. See the Summer Palace, Beijing.
  9. See the Yungang Caves in Datong.
  10. Go to Macau.
  11. Go to a casino in Macau.
  12. Spend at least a few days in Shanghai.
  13. Spend Chinese News Years in Hong Kong.

India

  1. Visit Darjeerling
  2. Drink Darjeerling tea in Darjeeling
  3. See a Snow Leopard
  4. See the Taj Mahal

Indonesia

  1. See a Komodo Dragon, Island of Komodo.

Korea (North)

  1. Visit North Korea.
  2. Visit North Korea independantly if they ever allow this.

Taiwan

  1. See the Taipei 101, Taipei (Skyscraper).

Thailand

  1. Visit Bangkok.

United Arab Emerates

  1. See the Burj Dubai, Dubai (Skyscraper).
